Being a member has it’s privileges……

Imagine being an owner of yarn shop.  It would have most of your favorite yarns and accessories, as well as be your ideal place to build a community and have a good time. Well, that is what I did almost 3 years ago with String Thing Studio.  I am incredibly proud of the community that has organically grown here over that time. 

With times such as they are, for the foreseeable future, we as a community need to come up with new and unique ways to continue to support each other.  I know that I want to still be able to provide that warm loving environment that makes everyone feel at home, provides opportunities for trips and experiences, as well as have the best products out there!  The way that small businesses like String Thing Studio stay in business is by having a steady source of income coming in – something brick and mortar shops don’t always have. We all know that you can buy yarns online- of course you can- but there is nothing that replaces coming into a place that speaks your language and lets you touch EVERYTHING that is out on the floor! You get what I am saying…..  bottom line- you need to keep cool things and experiences in rotation at a shop! Having a steady source of income, regardless of the season, is the way to do that. Hence, the String Thing Studio Loyalty Program.

This program provides a mutually beneficial relationship and gives weight to the notion of YOUR local yarn shop - because that’s what it is. Without all of you buying/ supporting/ posting/ shouting out/ promoting, etc. we local yarn shops would be nothing - in fact we would be closed.

To start off this program we are offering two levels of membership: Supporter Level at $12 per month and Investor Level at $24 per month

I am also in conversation with a few of the industry’s favorites to come up with some “Member’s Only” goodies in addition to “House” Passes which would allow you to purchase at these Sister businesses at a pre-determined discount online as well as in person at events. Keep an eye on your emails upon joining, as that is how we will let you know about your benefits as they increase!
