NYC Yarn Crawl 2020

We are so excited to be able to participate in something “normal” but in a different way! We will have in-person as well as virtual shopping opportunities throughout the week, with a few special thing happening along the way. We hope to see you at some point during the week.

Pre-Yarn Crawl String Night Kick-off Friday, Oct. 2nd 1 pm-7pm

You read that right, String Night is back!! So, you can sign up for a 2 hour time period. There is a max of 20 spots - 3-5 people at a time shopping inside with a mask and everyone else in the garden. It will be so much fun to see friends in person after so long! So call your friends and book your spots so you can be there together. There will be some snacks provided.

Wandering Flock Trunk Show and Tye Dye Classes

Geraldine Yang is back with her beautifully dyed yarns and, of course, she is going to have a couple of new colors that you will only be able to get at String Thing Studio first! This is Geraldine’s 1 year anniversary, her first trunk show was last year right here at String Thing during the 2019 NYC Yarn Crawl!

On Tuesday, October 6th from 12 pm to 2 pm I will be joining Geraldine in her studio and we will do a live Zoom and IG Live show. We will also have slots for virtual appointments with both of us to help you pick out colors for your projects! You can click here to schedule an appointment with us! Make sure you select the Wandering Flock Virtual Appointment when you schedule. There is a $10 fee which will be deducted from any purchase you make.

Echoview Fiber Mill Trunk Show

Join us as we host a weeklong trunk show with this beautiful yarn made in North Carolina! We have had a view of their bases in The Studio before, but this time we will have a few more options available both in person and online.

Echoview Fiber Mill is a spinning mill, knitting operation, and design house based in Weaverville, NC. We make exceptionally high quality and beautifully designed home goods, accessories, and craft knitting and weaving yarns using natural fibers like wool, alpaca, silk, mohair, and organic cotton. We are textile lovers, designers, and total creatures of comfort. Our work reflects who we are in a style that is both simple and modern. Our facility is a Gold LEED certified building, so sustainability is literally the foundation of everything we do and is taken into account in each decision we make.
